St Clare’s summer courses in Oxford combine top-quality English language instruction with a unique international atmosphere – every year, young people from over 50 countries come together here. All courses are accredited by the British Council, and St Clare’s is an active member of English UK’s Young Learners Specialist Group. School features
- Central location in Oxford: The school buildings are situated in a safe residential area, just 1 km from the city center. Students can easily explore the city independently and experience Oxford’s academic and cultural life firsthand.
- Excursions and guest speakers: The teen programs offer the opportunity to participate in excursions to universities, museums and companies to learn more about academic, artistic and economic life in Oxford.
- Various leisure activities: In the afternoon there are numerous sports and leisure opportunities, and in the evening the program is rounded off with social activities such as table tennis tournaments, karaoke and talent shows.
Programs
- Junior (9–15 years): The Junior program combines playful English lessons with creative activities, sports, and supervised excursions. Special modules such as „Young Leaders“ further promote social skills and teamwork.
- Teenagers (15–17 years): The Teenager Program is aimed at young people who want to deepen their English skills and focus on academic subjects. The course “English Plus Academic Subjects”, for example, offers insights into business, psychology, international relations, STEM, or creative writing . Those who want to prepare for the IB will benefit from the IB Introductory Course , which teaches study skills, critical thinking, CAS projects, and provides an overview of the IB subject system. For older teenagers, there is a study-oriented course that combines presentation techniques, academic writing, and university preparation, and includes visits to Oxford colleges.
- Young Adults (18+): St. Clare’s offers flexible, intensive English programs for young adults, tailored to everyday life, studies, or career. Depending on individual needs, specializations such as Academic English, Business English, or exam preparation can be integrated – with weekly start dates and plenty of individual support.
